Personal Pet Information
In order for us to provide our products, we require you to submit information regarding your pet, which may include, without limitation, name, breed, age and physical characteristics of your pet, and relevant information about your pet's owners and family members, among other things. All such information shall be collected and stored, and some or all of the information may be used by Tails Untold® to create a final book product.


Product Purchases; Sharing of Personal Information

When you purchase our products, we collect and store your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and credit card information. You also have the option to provide us your phone and fax number. We may use this information to notify you of the status of your transaction and to provide our products to you. We also may occasionally contact you for feedback on the products you have received.

We also may use this information to occasionally notify you about important changes to the web site or new Tails Untold® products and services, newsletters, and special offers we think you might find valuable. We also may share this information with our sponsors and partners so they may provide you promotional information about their products and services.

In addition, Tails Untold® may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.


Opt Out

If you prefer not to receive promotional communications from Tails Untold® or our sponsors and partners, you can uncheck the opt-in box which appears at the time of submission of your Personal Pet Survey. You also may opt-out from future communications by replying to any promotional email you receive from Tails Untold or contacting us any time by email at info@tailsuntold.com. Please include the word "unsubscribe" in the header of any such email message.

You are able to contact us for any reason through info@tailsuntold.com. If you contact us through this address, we will store your email address so we may contact you about the particular matter submitted by you. 


Third Party Contractors

Tails Untold® retains the services of outside contractors to provide services for us. These contractors may provide technical support or handle order processing. We may be required to share our user's personal information with these outside contractors to enable them to provide such services. We require these contractors to keep the personal information of customers secure and confidential. We also require that these contractors use personal information only on behalf of Tails Untold®.


Necessary Disclosures

In certain instances it may be necessary for us also to disclose your personal information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary (1) to comply with law, (2) to enforce or apply the terms of any of our Terms of Use or any license agreement we may have with you, or (3) to protect the rights, property or safety of Tails Untold®, our users, or others.

Children under 13

We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen. Our site is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under the age of thirteen.


Security of Information We Collect

Currently, orders are processed through PayPal's secure servers. The information collected by PayPal, such as your credit card number or PayPal password is encrypted by the browser before it is transferred to PayPal's servers where it is unencrypted for processing. The information we collect outside of the purchase process is collected through standard-form posting. The data collected on the site is stored in a database that can only be accessed by authenticating against a server that only accepts encrypted communications.

Photos that are collected during the information collection process are stored with session information. This information will expire and the photos will be permanently removed unless the purchase process is completed. The photos that belong to completed purchases are stored outside of the web-accessible “root” of the normal site.

We may from time to time use cookies. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We may also use cookies to track your visit to our web site. We also may use cookies to collect information, including your IP address, in a form that may be personally identifiable.
